Introduction to the Azure AD PowerShell module

Few days ago, a new, preview version of the WAAD PowerShell module was released. It builds on the “other” Preview branch, which brought us support for ADAL, and is now distributed as package from the PowerShell Gallery.

I took the module for a quick spin, with focus on the new and changed functionality. There are some cool cmdlets (get a user’s manager, direct reports or group/role membership), some changed and updated ones, and some missing ones compared to the “old” module. There’s also a lot of work to be done in the “usability” area, as most cmdlets only take Object GUIDs as input and the output is lacking too. However, the release cadence has been vastly improved and I’m sure the guys at Microsoft will shortly address those issues.
